Sudharsan went after Axar Patel early in the recent match, and Gill waited to pounce on the pacers. When both got their eyes in, they played with unbridled freedom – striking at 177 (Sudharsan) and 175 (Gill). “We want to be the ones finishing the game and not leave it to anyone else, especially on challenging wickets where if we lose a couple of wickets, the game can turn,” Gill added.
