The 19th edition of the tournament brings a major expansion in games and a slightly modified timeline to accommodate a busy cricket calendar.

Key Dates & Format

Tournament Window: March 28, 2026 – May 31, 2026.

Total Matches: The tournament has expanded to 84 matches (10 more than the previous season), utilizing a double round-robin and playoff format.

Phased Schedule: Because of upcoming state assembly elections in West Bengal, Assam, and Tamil Nadu, the BCCI has only released the "Phase 1" schedule. This covers the first 20 matches played between March 28 and April 12
