DC Playing XI 2026: Can This Be Delhi’s Title-Winning Team?

Delhi Capitals (DC) enter IPL 2026 with one purpose in their mind - breaking their title drought curse. After their 2025 season where they started strong but faded away, the franchise has reconstituted it’s team with clever and role-driven new players.

DC appears much more balanced in this season with Axar Patel leading the side and a revamped batting order.

One of the biggest talking points is that KL Rahul is set to open the innings once again. After experimenting last season, DC seems confident about using Rahul in his most successful role.

Consistency at the top by Rahul and composure and stroke playing by Pathum Nissanka makes DC steady. Nitish Rana brings aggression at number 3.

Middle Order

DC managed their middle-order issues by introducing experience and finishing skills.

David Miller was a much needed addition as he provides finishing strength which DC lacked. Tristan Stubbs continues developing as a reliable middle-order player.

Bowling attack

The bowling unit of Delhi appears to be balanced and has a combination of spin and pace.

With Mitchell Starc unavailable (NOC issue), Lungi Ngidi is expected to step in. Kuldeep Yadav remains the key wicket-taking spinner.
